The Yay Food Diet is a monthly membership plan where you pay $19 a month to be a part of a community of people striving to lose weight - just like you. Yay Food members come from all walks of life, although the majority seem to be women, there are some men there too. Most successful diet plans have a good support system, and Yay Food is all about giving members support and motivation.
Yay Food was created by Rachel Rofe, a young woman who struggled with weight all her life until she finally lost 100 pounds. Rachel has a desire to help others have the same success she has experienced. Rachel’s system has been so successful in helping others lose weight that she was featured in Woman’s World magazine. Losing weight can be a lonely mission sometimes and the Yay Food community is always available to help anyone experience a fast, healthy weight loss.
Once you register, you are taken right to the private membership area. You are encouraged to read all of the important material first that explains how your body works and interacts with the foods you eat. Yay Food follows a calorie shifting program. While there are other popular diet plans available that use calorie shifting, only Yay Food has a community support system to help you succeed.
While looking around the community, I was impressed most by how friendly and welcoming the atmosphere is. I would say it’s kind of “laid back” in style. It may take new members a little while to get used to the site and figure out what they should do first. There is not a “Start Here” sign or a strict daily to do list. If you are looking for everything to be laid out for you in a step-by-step manner, this may not be right for you. However, you can always ask a question on the community forum - and you’ll actually get an answer (which is nice).
One minor issue I have is that I feel they should get their food section organized better and make it easier to follow. As it stands now, there are a lot of good, low calorie recipes, but the meal plan isn’t well presented. It would be nice to have all of this laid out in a daily calendar style (or even better, the ability to create your own food calendar). Rachel does update the site periodically, so hopefully this will improve in the future.
There’s also a weight loss calculator on the site which is simple to use, but a little startling for some folks when they get their numbers. Calorie shifting will give you a high and a low number of calories to eat. Since we are used to eating a lot of fatty foods, the high number scares some into thinking they will gain instead of lose weight. But the foods you’ll be eating will be delicious and nutritious. So the high number of calories comes from healthier foods.
You’ll be happy to know that diet plans that work great, like the Yay Food diet, allow you to eat just about anything you want – as long as you stay within your calorie range for the day. Rachel jokes that you could eat only chocolate on this plan and lose weight, but that wouldn’t be the healthiest thing to do.
So, yay! You don’t have to live on carrot sticks and rice cakes for weeks. You’ll never be hungry on this diet and you’ll be surprised at how well your body responds to this technique.
If you have a lot of weight to lose, the Yay Food Diet plan is a great place to find inspiration, motivation and great tips to help you achieve your goal weight.
